RM recalled vividly how fiercely his parents objected when he first confessed his desire to pursue music. Growing up, his parents had always emphasized stability and practicality, hoping he would follow a conventional path in academics or a secure profession. When he shared his dream of becoming a musician, their reaction was immediate and intense. They worried about the uncertainty of a career in the artsโ€”the financial instability, the competitive nature of the industry, and the sacrifices it demanded.

His father, in particular, was blunt, warning RM that the music world was filled with rejection and hardship, urging him to reconsider and focus on something โ€œmore reliable.โ€ His mother was emotional, fearing that RMโ€™s dreams would lead to disappointment and struggle. They loved him deeply but couldnโ€™t reconcile his passion with their vision for his future.

Despite the objections and initial heartbreak, RMโ€™s conviction never wavered. He understood their fears but knew that music was not just a hobby; it was his calling. Over time, as RMโ€™s talent grew and he began to find small successes, his parentsโ€™ resistance softened. That fierce objection marked a turning pointโ€”not just in RMโ€™s relationship with his family but in his journey toward becoming the artist he was meant to be.
