Kalvin Phillips to give up 'multi-million pound pay-off' as Manchester City exit looms - Paper Round - Eurosport

Kalvin Phillips value drops 50% as Leeds United want popular deal for Man City ace.

The Daily Mirror reports that Leeds United is seeking to sign a lucrative contract for Kalvin Phillips, a midfielder for Manchester City, who has seen his worth decline by 50%.

The Premier League winners are eager to cut their losses on the England international, who they signed from the Whites for £50 million in 2022. He may be available for £25 million, the tabloid stated on page 59 of its print edition on Thursday, April 4.

It further stated that in order to guarantee a summer return to Elland Road, the 28-year-old midfielder—who is now on loan at West Ham—would need to accept a “significant” wage drop, as his £150,000 weekly income may ruin a possible agreement.

Kalvin Phillips will need to make sacrifices in order to return to Leeds United.
It is very obvious that Leeds would not be able to pay Phillips what he is now paid at Man City without violating their wage structure.

Given the last two years have been incredibly challenging for him, he will need to accept a big pay decrease if he is serious about returning to Elland Road this summer.

Due to several errors committed after moving on loan to West Ham in January, the midfield player battled for extended periods of time at the Etihad Stadium. His situation has only gotten worse here.

Leeds United could get Kalvin Phillips back.
The Englishman won’t be coming unless they are promoted back to the Premier League, so while his pay may be a concern, the Whites must take care of their own business this season.

A return to West Yorkshire would be the greatest way to salvage his career, but there are a few things that need to happen before it can be taken seriously.

In other Leeds United news, a fee development has surfaced and the Whites have made an offer to recruit a sensational forward.
