American football player Terrell Owens is a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). When he was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 1996 NFL draft, his professional career officially began.

In a game against the New Orleans Saints, Owens made his league debut. In a contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, he scored his first touchdown in the NFL. In a game against the Chicago Bears, Owens turned in a game-changing effort, recording 20 catches for 283 yards.

The San Francisco 49ers made the decision to name Steve Mariucci as their head coach in 2004. As the team’s performance began to decline, Owens asked to be let off the team at that point. Following his release from the Cowboys in March 2009, he inked a $6.5 million one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. He signed a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals after the season, where he played. Owens played for the Seahawks and Wranglers before taking a five-year hiatus from the game.

Terrell Eldorado Owens was born on December 7, 1973, in Alexander City, Alabama. He is currently 49 years old. At the age of 22, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1996 NFL draft to play wide receiver.

 

In addition to playing football for the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Owens enjoyed track and basketball. In the 1995 NCAA basketball tournament, Owens participated.
