๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐! Aston Villa Agree Deal to Sign Timothy Weah from Juventus
Aston Villa have reached a full agreement with Juventus for the signing of United States international Timothy Weah, sources confirm. The deal was finalized this morning after advanced talks between the two clubs progressed swiftly overnight.
The structure of the transfer includes an initial โฌ1 million loan fee, followed by a โฌ14 million obligation to buy next summer. Additionally, Juventus could receive a further โฌ3 million in performance-based add-ons, and they have secured a sell-on clause as part of the deal โ ensuring a percentage of any future sale will return to the Italian side.
Weah, 25, joined Juventus from Lille in the summer of 2023, but has struggled to cement a regular starting spot in Turin. Despite flashes of his trademark speed and versatility โ having been deployed both as a winger and wing-back โ the American found minutes limited in a crowded Juventus squad.
At Villa Park, Unai Emery views Weah as a valuable addition to a side pushing on multiple fronts, including their return to European competition. His ability to play on either flank gives the squad added depth and dynamism, especially with Villa balancing Premier League, domestic cup, and European fixtures this season.
Villa sporting director Monchi has been instrumental in negotiating the deal, which is seen as a relatively low-risk investment with strong upside potential given Weah’s age and international pedigree.
Weah is expected to fly to Birmingham within the next 48 hours to complete his medical and sign a long-term contract. Personal terms have already been agreed.
With the move, Timothy Weah becomes the latest American talent to take on the Premier League โ and Aston Villa fans will be hoping he can bring energy, creativity, and a touch of flair to their exciting project.
