In a stunning revelation that has electrified both metalheads and streaming enthusiasts alike, Netflix has officially announced a groundbreaking partnership with the legendary heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. The streaming giant is set to release a brand-new album featuring never-before-heard live renditions and unreleased studio tracks, along with an exclusive concert film titled Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow.

The album, which accompanies the concert film, features recordings from the band’s emotional farewell show held in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. This historic performance reunited the original Black Sabbath lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the first time in nearly two decades. Fans were moved by Ozzy’s powerful vocals, delivered while seated due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. Despite the limitations, the performance was hailed as one of the most iconic in rock history.

Netflix has confirmed that the concert film will debut globally in early 2026, followed by physical releases of the album and film on Blu-ray, DVD, and vinyl. The album itself includes a curated setlist of 15 standout tracks from the show, along with two previously unreleased studio recordings—a nostalgic treat for diehard fans.

All proceeds from the project will benefit several charities close to the band’s heart, including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. The July concert reportedly raised over £140 million in donations.

This joint venture marks Netflix’s first full-scale dive into the world of heavy metal music, signaling a bold new direction in concert storytelling. For Black Sabbath, it’s a triumphant final chapter—an album and film that preserve their legacy for generations to come.

Fans can now mark their calendars, as Back to the Beginning is set to redefine how we remember the gods of metal.
