Our Deepest Condolences on the Passing of Mike Morgan
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and former bandmate, Mike Morgan. Mike, who played lead guitar in Zoso – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience – from December 2003 through April 2009, passed away peacefully in his sleep last night at the age of 58.
Mike was more than just a talented musician – he was a vibrant soul, a creative spirit, and a loyal friend. During his years with Zoso, Mike brought incredible energy, precision, and passion to the stage. His command of the guitar was unmatched, and he had an extraordinary ability to channel the spirit of Jimmy Page while also injecting his own unique personality into every note. His contribution to our live shows and to the legacy of our band during his tenure will never be forgotten.
Off stage, Mike was just as impactful. He had a sharp sense of humor, a warm presence, and a deep love for music and community. He connected with fans and fellow musicians in a way that made everyone feel seen, heard, and inspired. His legacy as both a performer and a person will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing and playing alongside him.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mike’s godson, Trey Richardson of Metal-Ward and JamBox Entertainment, for reaching out and sharing this deeply saddening news with us. Our thoughts are with Trey and the rest of Mike’s family and loved ones during this time of profound loss.
To honor Mike’s life and musical legacy, the family will be holding a memorial jam session with friends in Raleigh, North Carolina, on July 6th. We know this celebration will be a fitting tribute to a man whose life was steeped in music, camaraderie, and love.
Mike, thank you for the years of music, laughter, and unforgettable memories. You will always be a part of the Zoso family. Rest in peace, brother.
With love and respect,
Zoso – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience
