Legendary rock guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has officially announced a long-anticipated reunion tour, celebrating three decades of musical excellence. The tour, marking the 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic career, will feature a series of concerts across major North American cities, bringing back the electrifying sound that defined an era of hard rock and neoclassical metal.
The announcement, made via Blackmore’s official social media channels and website, confirmed that the reunion will include original and long-time members from the band’s most influential lineups. This marks the first time in over a decade that the legendary guitarist will take the stage with the classic lineup of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, thrilling fans with a blend of their greatest hits and rare deep cuts.
The tour, titled “Blackmore’s Legacy: 30 Years of Thunder”, will kick off in August 2025, beginning in Los Angeles, CA, and making stops in cities including Chicago, New York, Toronto, Dallas, and Seattle, before concluding in Miami, FL. More dates and international shows are expected to be announced in the coming months.
“This is something I’ve been wanting to do for years,” Blackmore said in a press release. “The time felt right to celebrate the music that means so much to me and, hopefully, to everyone who’s followed us on this journey.”
