The 2025 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event celebrated the induction of three distinguished individuals: drivers Carl Edwards and Ricky Rudd, and pioneer Ralph Moody. Additionally, Dr. Dean Sicking was honored with the Landmark Award for his outstanding contributions to NASCAR, particularly for developing the SAFER barrier system that has significantly enhanced driver safety.

Carl Edwards
Edwards, known for his signature backflip after victories, had a 13-year NASCAR Cup Series career, securing 28 wins. He also achieved 72 national series victories, including six in the Craftsman Truck Series and an Xfinity Series championship in 2007. Notably, he finished as the runner-up in the Cup Series championship twice, including a tiebreaker loss to Tony Stewart in 2011.

Ricky Rudd
Affectionately known as NASCAR’s “Iron Man,” Rudd amassed 23 Cup Series wins and a remarkable 788 consecutive starts—a record that stood until 2015. His career spanned four decades, and he was the 1997 Brickyard 400 winner and the 1977 Rookie of the Year. Rudd’s resilience and longevity in the sport earned him a place among NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers.

Ralph Moody
A World War II veteran, Moody transitioned from driving to co-founding the Holman-Moody Racing team, which became a powerhouse in NASCAR. The team secured two consecutive championships with driver David Pearson in 1968 and 1969 and won the 1967 Daytona 500 with Mario Andretti. Holman-Moody achieved 96 Cup wins and 83 poles between 1957 and 1973.

Dr. Dean Sicking
Dr. Sicking’s development of the SAFER barrier system revolutionized track safety in motorsports. His work has been instrumental in preventing severe injuries and fatalities, with no driver fatalities in NASCAR’s national series since its implementation. He was previously honored with the Bill France Award of Excellence and the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

The induction ceremony was broadcast live on the NASCAR Channel via Tubi at 8 p.m. ET and simultaneously on the Motor Racing Network (MRN). Prior to the ceremony, a Red Carpet live stream was available on NASCAR.com and NASCAR’s YouTube platform, starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.
